1st epa International Harp Trophy
It was a dream come true to welcome contestants, their parents, eminent musicians, and researchers from many different countries to open the Elias Parish Alvars Festival and the 1st International EPA Trophy for Young Talents last February in Teignmouth/Devon, England. Together we celebrated with finest harp playing, lectures, and a historical concert program compiled by the grand maestro of our instrument, Elias Parish Alvars, who was born exactly 200 years ago in Teignmouth.
Young contestants not older than 14 years competed for the 1st epa International Harp Trophy, and had gathered from the four corners of the world for an inspiring moment of music.
The price winners are as follow:
1st Prize (sponsored by Camac Harps) and re-invitations to future Festival up to the age of 18 (Prize Florence Sitruk) Giulia Ott, Switzerland
2nd Prize (sponsored by Camac Harps) Benjamin Creighton Griffiths, Great Britain
